Hand-scooped Zotter Fairtrade Chocolate with Almond and Hazelnut Nougat

Light almond nougat meets dark hazelnut nougat here - both enrobed in dark milk chocolate with 60% cocoa content. This creation is refined with chopped hazelnut brittle.

Zotter's hand-scooped chocolates are more like very large pralines with diverse flavour compositions. These filled and layered chocolate wonders have now become cult favourites and are available in classic and virtuoso combinations.

Zotter is an Austrian family business based in Riegersburg, founded in 1987 by Josef and Ulrike Zotter in Graz. What began as a confectionery and gained momentum in 1992 with the invention of hand-scooped chocolate, is today a chocolate production with an assortment of around 500 different varieties.

With the bean-to-bar production line (from bean to chocolate), Josef Zotter is one of the few quality chocolatiers worldwide who carries out all chocolate production processes in-house: from roasting the cocoa beans to rolling and the fine finishing in the conching machine, everything is done with the utmost care. Zotter was the first in Europe, and for a long time the only one, to produce bean-to-bar chocolate exclusively in organic and fair quality! Since 2018, however, Zotter has foregone the Fairtrade seal to distance itself from mass balancing in the Fairtrade system. Instead of the Fairtrade logo, they use the Fair "hand sign" as their logo. Zotter continues to pursue 100% fair trade with physical traceability of raw materials and is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), which audits the company as a whole according to fair guidelines.
