The passata made from the aromatic, fruity San Marzano tomato is the ideal base for good sauces and vegetable soups. With the vintage label, it is almost too good to hide in the cupboard. These San Marzano tomatoes are an endangered variety that is not suitable for industrial processing due to its delicate texture and must therefore be harvested by hand.

These cans contain real San Marzano tomatoes from Campania. Our producer Il pomodoro più buono has the tomatoes harvested by hand when ripe and then preserves them in a water bath at exactly 100 degrees. There is no better way to capture the tomatoey taste for perfect sauces. The cherry tomatoes from Sicily are given the same care and have all the flavour of ripe, aromatic tomatoes grown in volcanic soil.
