Arnica ointment 30% is an anthroposophic medicine for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and the vascular system.
Areas of application
According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, the areas of application include the stimulation and harmonisation of metabolic and formative processes in tissue and organ damage, especially after mechanical influences and in the event of circulatory disorders; blunt injuries of all kinds such as strains, contusions, bruises, haematomas.
2. WHAT SHOULD YOU CONSIDER BEFORE USING ARNIKA OINTMENT 30%?
Arnica ointment 30% must not be used,
- on open wounds,
- or if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to arnica or other composites such as chrysanthemums and yarrow, to peanut oil / soya oil or to other components of the ointment base.

Children
Arnica ointment 30% can be used in school children from 6 years of age. Weleda Arnica ointment 10% is available for infants and toddlers.

Important information about certain components of Arnica ointment 30%
Cetyl stearyl alcohol can cause local skin irritation (e.g. contact dermatitis).
3. HOW TO USE ARNIKA OINTMENT 30%?
Always use Arnica ointment 30% exactly as described in this package leaflet.
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose for adults and children from 6 years of age is: Apply Arnica ointment 30% to the affected areas of skin 3-5 times a day.
The ointment must not be applied to open wounds. Please wash your hands thoroughly with soap after use.
Duration of use
Treatment is continued until symptoms subside and should be completed after 2 weeks. If there is no improvement within 2-5 days, a doctor should be consulted.
If you forget to use Arnica ointment 30% Do not use double the dose to make up for the missed dose.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?
Like all medicines, Arnica ointment 30% can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.
When using arnica-containing preparations on the skin, allergic reactions in the form of itching and skin redness with blistering (eczema) can occur, usually as a result of pre-existing allergies or due to so-called cross-reactions in the case of hypersensitivity to other composites such as chrysanthemums. Frequent and prolonged use can promote the development of new allergies to arnica.
Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.

Ointment base: Refined peanut oil, cetyl stearyl alcohol, yellow wax, sodium cetyl stearyl sulfate, glycerol(mono, di)stearate, purified water.
