What is EvoTears and what is it used for?
EvoTears is a water-free, preservative-free eye drop liquid. EvoTears contains only one ingredient, perfluorohexyloctane (EyeSol). EvoTears moistens the surface of the eye, stabilizes the tear film and relieves the symptoms of dry eyes.

What should you be aware of before using EvoTears?
EvoTears must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the ingredient perfluorohexyloctane. Special care should be taken when using EvoTears if you are also using other eye medications at the same time. An application interval of at least 15 minutes should be observed. If you wear contact lenses, you should not use EvoTears, as there is insufficient data on compatibility with contact lens materials.

Use in pregnant women, nursing mothers and children

There is no data on safety in pregnant women, nursing mothers and children, so the use of EvoTears is not recommended here.

How is EvoTears used?
Unless otherwise recommended by your doctor or pharmacist, instill 1 drop into the lower eyelid up to 4 times a day. EvoTears can be used daily if necessary. Due to its special properties, EvoTears behaves differently when instilled than conventional eye drops. Therefore, read these instructions carefully before use.

1. Wash your hands before use.
2. Unscrew the cap from the bottle and remove the sealing ring before using for the first time.
3. After removing the cap, avoid touching the tip of the dropper.
4. Before bringing the bottle to your eye, please read points 5 and 6 first, and then follow these steps.
5. Hold the opened bottle with the dropper tip pointing upwards and squeeze the bottle slightly.
6. Before bringing the bottle to your eye, turn the still squeezed bottle with the dropper tip downwards and then release the pressure immediately. Air flows into the bottle through the liquid. Leave the bottle in this position, i.e. with the dropper tip pointing downwards.
7. Tilt your head back slightly and gently pull the lower eyelid away from your eye. Look up as much as possible.
8. Hold the inverted opened bottle vertically above your eye. Press the bottle lightly and put one drop in each eye. Note: Due to the special nature of EvoTears, it is possible that you will not feel the drop in your eye. In this case, we recommend using it in front of a mirror.
9. Do not touch the dropper tip with your eye or eyelashes when using it.
10. Close your eyes after use to distribute EvoTears evenly.
11. Close the bottle again with the cap after use.

EvoTears can be used for 6 months after first opening.

What side effects can occur when using EvoTears?
In individual cases, transient eye irritation such as burning, itching or redness of the eyes has been reported with the use of EvoTears. This may indicate an allergic reaction. If you experience persistent eye irritation, discontinue use and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Further information

Do not use EvoTears if the bottle or original seal is damaged. Please note the date of first opening on the folding box. EvoTears must not be used after the expiry date printed on the packaging. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest liquid. Do not store above 25°C.

The following pack size is available

Pack of 3 ml eye drops. Non-saleable sample with 1 ml eye drops. For easier handling, the eye drops are filled into 5 ml bottles, which are therefore only about half full. The filling is carried out under constant control, so that an underfilling of the bottle is excluded.
