Sanohra fly protects the ear from rapid changes in air pressure, such as those that occur during flying.

How does earache occur during flying?
The ear is a very sensitive sensory organ. Behind the airtight eardrum is the middle ear. The middle ear is ventilated by the Eustachian tube. During the take-off phase, the cabin pressure drops rapidly. This pressure drop is usually not a problem for the ear, as the Eustachian tube only has to passively release a relative overpressure in the middle ear. During landing, the air pressure increases to ground level within a few minutes. If the Eustachian tube cannot create the now necessary active opening quickly enough, a high relative negative pressure is created in the middle ear, which causes the eardrum to bulge. This leads to earache, but can also manifest itself as facial or toothache. Sanohra fly with Air Pressure Control slows down pressure changes in front of the eardrum. Sanohra fly also helps the ear to adapt painlessly to rapidly changing pressure conditions, even if the Eustachian tube is not functioning properly.

Inserting Sanohra fly

Place one arm over your head and gently lift the upper part of the auricle of the ear on the other side of your head. This will widen the ear canal. Grasp Sanohra fly by the shaft between the thumb and forefinger of the other hand and insert it into the ear canal with a slight twisting motion, lamellae first. Do the same for the other ear.

Children may only use the earplugs under the supervision of an adult. Do not use if there is an inflammation of the ear.

When should Sanohra fly be used?

At take-off

If you already have problems with earache at take-off, you should insert Sanohra fly before the plane takes off. After 30 minutes, Sanohra fly can be removed again, as the pressure conditions are usually constant when the aircraft has reached its cruising altitude. For short-haul flights under 2 hours, it is advisable to wear Sanohra fly throughout the flight.

On landing

Insert Sanohra fly as described at least 45 minutes before landing. Do not wait until the landing is announced by the pilot. It is recommended to additionally support the function of the Eustachian tube by chewing, swallowing and yawning. The ear is optimally protected if Sanohra fly is only removed after arriving at the airport building. Please note that Sanohra fly also leads to noise reduction due to its design.

Removing Sanohra fly

Before removing, lift the auricle slightly as when inserting. Do not pull the earplugs out abruptly, but remove them slowly with a slight twisting motion. Sanohra fly must not be cleaned with water or detergent. Even the minerals in the water would clog the APC. Air pollution and earwax can also lead to this. Always put Sanohra fly back in the box after use. To ensure optimum function, use Sanohra fly for a maximum of 3 round trips.
