Anis-Pyrit Tablets
Active ingredient: Anis-Pyrit Trit. D2 (HAB, SV 6) 25 mg

Dear patient, please read the entire package leaflet carefully before you start taking this medicine, as it contains important information for you. This medicine is also available without a doctor's prescription. However, in order to achieve the best possible treatment success, Anis-Pyrit must be used as prescribed.

1. WHAT IS ANIS-PYRIT AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Anis-Pyrit is an anthroposophic medicine for respiratory tract diseases. Areas of application: According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature, the areas of application include: hoarseness, accompanying treatment for bronchitis, tracheitis, laryngitis.

2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE TAKING ANIS-PYRIT?

Anis-Pyrit Tablets must not be used:

• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to anise, anethole, wheat starch or any of the other ingredients,
• in infants and toddlers under 2 years of age,
• if you have a known hypersensitivity to umbellifers (Apiaceae).

Precautions for use

In case of fever that persists for more than three days or rises above 39°C, shortness of breath, purulent or bloody sputum, as well as persistent, unclear or newly occurring symptoms, you should consult your doctor.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Like all medicines, Anis-Pyrit should only be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding after consulting a doctor.

Interactions with other medicines

None known.

Important information about certain ingredients of Anis-Pyrit Tablets

This medicine contains lactose. Therefore, please only take it after consulting your doctor if you know that you suffer from an intolerance to certain sugars. Wheat starch may contain small amounts of gluten, which are also considered tolerable for patients suffering from celiac disease.

3. HOW TO TAKE ANIS-PYRIT?

Always take Anis-Pyrit Tablets exactly as described in this package leaflet. If your doctor has not prescribed otherwise, the usual dose is: Adults and children from 6 years of age: 1 tablet every 2 hours. Toddlers from 2 to 5 years of age: 1 tablet 3 to 5 times a day, if necessary dissolved in a little tea. Let the tablet dissolve in your mouth.

Duration of use

The treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks. If there is no improvement within 2 - 5 days, a doctor should be consulted. The duration of treatment for chronic diseases requires consultation with a doctor.

If you forget to take Anis-Pyrit

Do not take a double dose if you have forgotten to take the previous dose.

Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure how to use this medicine.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?

Like all medicines, Anis-Pyrit Tablets can have side effects, although not everybody gets them. Due to the ingredient Pimpinella anisum, allergic reactions of the skin, respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract can occasionally occur. In these cases, you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor. Wheat starch can cause hypersensitivity reactions.

5. WHAT ELSE IS IMPORTANT?

Do not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and carton.

Composition

1 tablet contains: Active ingredient: Anis-Pyrit Trit. D2 (HAB, SV 6) 25 mg. [1 g Anis-Pyrit original substance contains: Pimpinella anisum, Fructus tostus 0.33 g / Pyrite 0.33 g / Saccharum tostum 0.34 g.] Other ingredients: Lactose monohydrate, wheat starch, calcium behenate.
