Biancospino is an elegant and refined white Lambrusco from Emilia, reflecting the tradition and craftsmanship of Vitivinicola Fangareggi. With a clear straw-yellow color and a subtle aroma of white flowers, citrus fruits, and ripe pears, this wine offers a harmonious balance between freshness and light minerality. The delicate bubbles and soft mousse give the wine a refined texture, while the elegant acidity ensures a lively, refreshing finish. Ideal as an aperitif and with light appetizers, fish dishes, shellfish and crustaceans, as well as fresh salads and soft cheeses. Vitivinicola Fangareggi was founded in 2005 by Giuseppe Fangareggi, but the family has been growing grapes since the 1800s. Today, the winery is run by Giuseppe's son Matteo, along with his mother Margherita and his uncle Roberto. Giuseppe and Roberto manage the vineyards, while Margherita handles reception and Matteo oversees production. The winery is certified organic and sources its fruit from eight parcels in the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena, with different grape varieties depending on the terroir. Matteo uses only indigenous yeasts for primary fermentation to produce a range of sparkling wines – white, rosé, and red – with a focus on traditional, dark Lambrusco from the Salamino variety. The 'Biancospino' Lambrusco Bianco is made from 85% Lambrusco di Sorbara and 15% Salamino and vinified as a white wine. The 'Vigna Rosa' Lambrusco Rosato is based on Lambrusco di Sorbara with some Fortana and Pinot Noir. The 'Vigna Nera' Lambrusco is a blend of Lambrusco Salamino and Ancellotta. Fangareggi's wines are known for their vibrant and authentic quality, ideal with cured meats and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The Società Agricola Vitivinicola Fangareggi was founded in 2005 by Giuseppe, who grew up in his grandfather Augusto's vineyards. Today, the company is run by Giuseppe and his son Matteo, who joined in 2013. The family operates 8 vineyards in 5 municipalities in the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Modena. Wine production follows traditional methods passed down from generation to generation. The work in the vineyard requires a lot of dedication, while there is minimal intervention in the cellar. The grape harvest begins in September, and the new vintages are released from February onwards. Augusto, an experienced oenologist, vinifies all the company's wines. Giuseppe and Roberto tend the vineyards with the valuable teachings of their grandfather Augusto. 6 grape varieties are cultivated, selected according to the best terroir.
