The paprika originally comes from the tropical and subtropical latitudes of Central America. Christopher Columbus got to know the paprika during his voyage of discovery through America with the Indians and subsequently brought it to Europe.

The orange paprika has reached a little more maturity compared to the yellow variety. The deep orange fruit pulp has an intensive, slightly sweet taste. As soon as the green stalk and the seeds inside have been removed, the paprika can be used in different ways.
