Mochis are Japanese rice cakes filled with bean paste, lotus root or whole fruits. Traditionally, they are eaten to celebrate the New Year.
Founded in 2010 by siblings Howard and Vivien Wong, Little Moons set out to make the Japanese delicacy of mochi accessible to all. Working with world-class chefs and drawing on their childhood understanding of mochi, they developed unique, frozen treats that have taken the UK confectionery market by storm. The extraordinary rice balls with creamy ice cream filling have been available on the German market since 2020 and are now also available at knuspr.de.
