Sea salt from Mediterranean salt gardens

Our sea salt comes directly from Mediterranean salt gardens into the mill. Thanks to our ceramic grinder, the fine salt crystals are freshly ground at the kitchen table onto cucumber slices and the like. The white gold is particularly good in combination with black pepper.

Salt is the only raw material used by Lebensbaum that is not of plant origin. It is mineral, a compound of sodium and chloride.

Only organic products are put in the bag at Lebensbaum

Since 1979, the Lebensbaum company has been producing tea, coffee and spices from organic farming. They believe that this demanding form of agriculture is a prerequisite for high-quality, natural food. But organic means more than just good taste or less chemistry. Organic farming is the future because it produces high-quality food in an environmentally friendly and resource-saving way. 

But it is not only the raw materials that are subject to strict requirements. For example, the tea boxes are made of fresh wood fibres and are completely recyclable - since 2011 they have also carried the FSC seal. In addition, a decision was made to use 100% mineral oil-free printing inks - at the same time an important contribution to the protection of finite resources. 

The supply chain has also been designed for the benefit of people and nature. This was and is Lebensbaum's Anspruch on sustainable management. They have even received a We-Care certification for this!
