The Réserve de la Comtesse is the second wine from Château Pichon-Comtesse with a beautiful independence - the intense dark fruit is juicy and almost lush, on the palate the wine shows itself powerful and with a spicy freshness, which remains long in the finish. A very own character, but clearly the handwriting of Nicolas Glumineau, who has been responsible for the wines since 2014.
The over 50 hectares of vineyards of Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, which border directly on Château Latour, today belong to the Rouzaud family, the family that owns the champagne house Roederer and some other top wineries in France, Spain, Portugal and the USA. Madame de Lencquesain was the owner and resident of Pichon Comtesse until 2006. Under her leadership, the Château was successfully brought into the new millennium and is one of the secret second Premiers in Paulliac.
