The aging in the wooden barrel cellar of the Assmannshausen estate gives the clear berry fruit and slightly earthy minerality of the Pinot Noir an elegant plus of spice, complexity and longevity. Perfectly balanced, pure and fresh.

Nose: sour cherry, plum, blackberries, earthy notes of forest floors
Palate: fruity, slightly balsamic, wood subtly noticeable, earthy cherry aromas

Food Pairing: Goes perfectly with lamb and veal dishes, with venison fillet with sour cherry sauce and with all kinds of mushroom dishes.  

Kloster Eberbach Winery

The vineyards of the Kloster Eberbach winery extend over almost 230 hectares in the Rheingau and on the Hessian Bergstrasse.

On this terroir, the vines for their wines and sparkling wines grow - sustainably and gently produced, always with the aim of the best quality at an international level.

The history of the Kloster Eberbach winery goes back as far as the history of the cultural monument itself: For the French monks who settled in the Rheingau at the beginning of the 12th century, viticulture was one of their main occupations.

What was initially intended for their own needs soon developed into a sought-after commodity, which secured the future and prosperity of the monastery.
