Tement BIO Sauvignon Blanc Lime & Chalk 2023

Salty lemon, native yellow fruit, elderberry and cassis. Mineral and arrow-straight.

This organic estate wine is one of the most important wines of the Tement family winery. The grapes were selectively harvested by hand and come from the most renowned vineyards in southern Styria. This results in a wine with an incomparable terroir mix.

Colour: Light yellow with green reflections
Nose: Citrus, apple, currant
Palate: Ripe pear, apple, elderberry, spicy cassis notes

Food Pairing: Goes perfectly with asparagus, fish and vegetable dishes and salads.

Manfred Tement was young when he took over the small winery after his father's untimely death.

Three hectares to the right and left of the house and much earlier than planned.

His father's good reputation was his only start-up capital. Much has been created over the years. Some things have come, others have gone, but one thing has always remained: the love of wine, this very special region and the commitment to unconditional quality.

Principles that Armin and his brother Stefan carry in their DNA in the truest sense of the word.

More than 15 years ago, they began to take the first steps towards organic farming. Today they farm biodynamically, have been members of the Demeter Association since 2022 and are members of the respect-BIODYN Group.

Depicting Styria in all its diversity and uniqueness is no easy task. Since 2018, the Südsteiermark DAC classification system has not only provided orientation, but also special quality. For single-vineyard wines, village wines and regional wines, not only the restriction to certain grape varieties associated with the respective location applies, but above all the commitment to manual labour.
