The 2022 Boekenhoutskloof Porcupine Ridge Sauvignon Blanc is a refreshing white wine from the Coastal Region in South Africa. With notes of citrus, grapefruit and lemon, it shimmers straw-yellow in the glass and presents itself with a lively and inviting aroma of apple, lime and greengage. On the palate, flavors of papaya, pineapple and gooseberry unfold. A clean and slightly sparkling finish rounds off the experience. This wine is a perfect companion to salmon with hollandaise sauce or mussels.

The Boekenhoutskloof winery was founded in 1776 and is located in the most remote corner of the beautiful Franschhoek Valley. The name means "gorge of the boekenhout" (an indigenous Cape beech tree valued for furniture making). Boekenhoutskloof is a Syrah specialist and is known for its premium range and "The Chocolate Block" – a Syrah-based blend that ranks as one of South Africa's most successful new wine offerings in the modern era. As one of South Africa's most prestigious wineries, Boekenhoutskloof was named Winery of the Year in 2012 by influential South African wine journalist John Platter.
