Freixenet Cava is traditionally made from top-quality wines of the three native grape varieties Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada from the Penedès wine-growing region in north-eastern Spain. At Freixenet, Cavas have been produced since 1914 using the complex traditional bottle fermentation method (Método Tradicional). The advantage of this method over mechanical processes: the bubbles and aroma are more delicate.
This classic Cava initially caresses the palate gently and delicately, spoiling it with aromas of honey, green apple, pear and a hint of citrus fruits, before giving way to a fresh and pure finish. Its dosage (Brut) captivates with an exceptionally low acidity.
