iglo 3 Giant Germknödel 480g
An Austrian specialty, just like homemade. Made from fluffy yeast dough and filled with delicious plum jam. Complete with enclosed poppy seed and sugar mixture. The pastry according to Austrian culinary tradition.
Preparation recommendation:
Microwave preparation for one Germknödel:
- Moisten the frozen Germknödel with water and place in a lightly greased microwave-safe bowl. Then cover and heat in the microwave at 600 watts for 2:00 to 2:20 minutes. The ideal cooking time depends on the microwave oven. Place the finished Germknödel on a plate, pour over melted butter and sprinkle with the sugar and poppy seed mixture.
Preparation in a steamer or pot with steamer insert (100C°):
- Place a greased steamer insert or sieve in a saucepan and fill with hot water up to the insert height. Bring the water to a boil, place the Germknödel on the insert while still frozen and cover and steam for about 15-17 minutes. Do not prepare the Germknödel directly in boiling water! Place the finished Germknödel on a plate, pour over melted butter and sprinkle with the sugar and poppy seed mixture.
