Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test

Over 99% reliable from the day your period is due. Please read these instructions carefully before performing the test.

When to test

You can test up to 6 days before your period is due (i.e. 5 days before the day your period is expected). If testing before your period is due, use first morning urine. From the day your period is due, you can test at any time of the day. Do not drink excessive amounts of fluid before testing.

How to perform the test

Remove the foil wrapper and take off the cap. Test immediately afterwards.

Choose your test method:
  • Important: The absorbent tip will quickly turn pink, showing that it is absorbing urine.
  • A: Hold the absorbent tip in your urine stream for a full 5 seconds or
  • B: Collect your urine in a clean, dry container and dip the absorbent tip into the urine sample for a full 20 seconds.
  • Replace the cap and place the test stick on a flat surface.
  • Start the timer.
  • Wait at least 3 minutes before reading your result.

Reading your results

A line may appear quickly in the control window, but you must wait 3 minutes before reading your result. If no blue line appears in the control window, the test has not worked properly. Important! Read the result within 10 minutes of performing the test. Ignore any changes to your result after this time.
