Freiländer breeds the slow-growing "KellyBronze®" breed of turkeys. This breed is very robust and ideal for free-range farming. The hardiness of these animals allows them to graze on large pastures and at the same time to be supplied with feed from the own feed mill with other important and the respective nutritionally necessary components. The obligatory addition of roughage in the form of hay, fresh grass or silage rounds off the diet - in addition to everything else they can peck and hunt on their forays across the pasture.

This combination of quality-related factors results in an incomparable meat quality. Tender, lean, mature are just a few attributes that are immediately associated with the conscious enjoyment of the meat. The black pigments, which are always found in the articles with skin, are the genetic fingerprint that makes the meat so unique.
