Organic Durum Wheat Fusilli

Classic fusilli pasta from Italy.

For the pasta made from durum wheat semolina, only durum wheat from organic farming is used, grown by members of our cooperative or by contract companies in Italy. Drying takes place slowly and gently at low temperatures (approx. 12 hours for long pasta and approx. 8 hours for short pasta) to preserve all the nutrients and flavour of the wheat in the pasta. All Girolomoni® pasta is produced in their in-house, fully organically managed pasta factory.

As a pioneer of organic farming in Italy, Girolomoni is today an agricultural cooperative comprising 300 members and owning its own fully organically managed pasta factory, where premium organic grain is processed into pasta every day.

In this spirit, the decision to produce organically and without the use of synthetic chemicals shapes every phase of Girolomoni's product creation, from the cultivation of raw materials to processing and preservation. For organic farming, the earth is not just dead ground, but a living organism that deserves respect. Therefore, only organic fertilisers are used to increase fertility, and weeds are controlled through crop rotation.
