Rustichella d'Abruzzo Orecchiette - Orecchiette are handmade pasta shaped like little ears. Originally from Puglia, Southern Italy, they are revered there as a national dish. Traditionally, this pasta is eaten with durum wheat semolina with Cima di rapa (turnip greens) and peperoncino (chili). They also go well with lamb, broccoli, seafood, or arugula.
Recommended cooking time: Due to their thicker consistency, the Orechiette need 12 - 16 minutes to achieve the perfect bite.
Rustichella d'Abruzzo has been producing the finest pasta since 1924. In keeping with old traditions, the pasta is made from high-quality durum wheat and fresh spring water from the Abruzzo region. The dough is drawn through bronze plates and gently dried at a low temperature for up to 50 hours. This creates an excellent pasta with bite and a full-bodied flavor.
