Gin Sul mit den Wurzeln in Portugal
Hamburg Gin with Portuguese roots
Mediterranean botanicals such as juniper berries, coriander seeds, fresh lemons from the Algarve, cinnamon, allspice, lavender, rosemary, rose petals and a few more find their way into Gin Sul through distillation. An authentic Hamburg Gin, inspired by the Portuguese way of life.
"The scent of the south. Distilled in the north." is the motto of Gin Sul. To ensure that the valuable aromas do not lose their taste, the gin is traditionally filled into white clay bottles. This protects it from light and temperature fluctuations.
The Altonaer Spirituosenmanufaktur is one of the smallest distilleries in Germany, with a still that holds only 100 liters. Thanks to the small quantities and the slow distillation, the aromas have plenty of room to develop.
Distiller Stephan Garbe fell in love with Portugal and its way of life over the years. In 2013 he founded the Altonaer Spirituosenmanufaktur. Gin Sul is his homage to the Mediterranean culture and joie de vivre of the south.
