Black Forest Ham
Since 1921, Adler has been producing selected Black Forest sausage and ham specialties in the picturesque Hochschwarzwald and has since stood for the culinary tradition of an entire region. Adler's most famous recipe started its journey into the world from here: the Black Forest ham.

The Adler company is synonymous with Black Forest ham! As a pioneer, Peter Adler helped shape the original, Black Forest ham. This is still understood today as a responsibility for the high quality standards of the company.
Since the beginning of the company's history, Adler has been located in Bonndorf, in the Hochschwarzwald, at an altitude of over 800m, in a climatically ideal location with good air. The grandparents of the current owner ran a small inn and a butcher's shop there. The son Hans took over the business in 1935 and not only expanded the range, but also discovered the potential of the mail order business for "Black Forest smoked goods" in 1955. In the 1960s, a slaughterhouse, cutting plant, smokehouse and salting plant were built.

Under the leadership of Peter Adler, the production and distribution of Black Forest smoked goods were significantly expanded. Adler is thus one of the most important employers in the region. The Adler family employs around 270 people at its headquarters in Bonndorf and a further 120 people at its Achern site.
With quality always in mind, Peter Adler also attaches particular importance to training his own skilled workers, both in the commercial and technical fields. After all, the name ADLER stands for high competence all the way from slaughtering to the consumer. Then and now.
