Wick First Defence Micro-Gel Spray
Combats cold pathogens from the outset

When should I use Wick First Defence?
Start using it immediately at the first signs of a cold, even before it has fully broken out (e.g. "scratching" in the nasopharynx). To achieve the best results, continue using it for a further 48 hours after the symptoms have subsided.

How does Wick First Defence work?
Wick First Defence Micro-Gel Spray works precisely in the nasopharynx, where cold pathogens first settle and multiply. The micro-gel contained in the spray, based on plant-based ingredients, encapsulates cold pathogens and helps your body to eliminate them.

What should be noted before use?
Do not use if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients listed below. Before using this product, consult your doctor if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You have a sensitive nasal, pharyngeal or middle ear mucosa.
• You are prone to nosebleeds. A cold can increase this tendency and occasionally trigger nosebleeds, as the infection irritates the nasal mucosa.

How do I use the product?
Before using for the first time, remove the protective cap from the spray nozzle and press the pump several times vigorously (spray into a paper towel).

Adults and children aged 12 and over

To spray, hold the base of the bottle with your thumb and the spray nozzle between your index and middle fingers. Without tilting your head back, hold the spray nozzle in your right nostril and spray towards your right ear. To do this, press the spray pump down vigorously, evenly and completely 2 to 3 times. Continue breathing normally. Then, without tilting your head back, hold the spray nozzle in your left nostril and spray towards your left ear. To do this, press the spray pump down vigorously, evenly and completely 2 to 3 times again and continue breathing normally. Wipe the spray nozzle clean after use and replace the protective cap. If not used for more than a week, spray into a paper towel again before use.

Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Leave 4 hours between applications. Do not use more than 4 times a day. To achieve the best results, continue using it for a further 48 hours after the symptoms have subsided. Use only as directed. Do not use the bottle on multiple people; this could lead to the spread of infection. For nasal use only.

What should be noted during or after use?
As with nasal sprays or nasal rinses, burning, stinging, sneezing or increased nasal discharge may occur temporarily. This indicates that the product is working, is harmless and does not last long. If such effects persist, discontinue use of the product. Like other products for nasal use, Wick First Defence can irritate the nasal mucosa, which may lead to nosebleeds. This occurs rarely, is usually not severe and is short-lived. If nosebleeds occur during or after use of the product, discontinue use. If nosebleeds are very severe or persistent, consult your doctor. Please also consult your doctor if:

• The cold has not subsided after 7 days.
• The symptoms worsen or are accompanied by fever.

In case of accidental eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice immediately.

How should Wick First Defence be stored?
Do not store above 25°C. Store upright. Keep away from direct sunlight. Do not use after the expiry date on the outer carton/bottle. Keep out of reach of children. You may want to read this package insert again later. Therefore, keep it in an easily accessible place until you have used up this product.

Ingredients

Water, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (based on plant-based ingredients), succinic acid, disodium succinate, pyroglutamic acid, phenylethyl alcohol, zinc EDTA, zinc acetate, polysorbate 80, flavour: (menthol, camphor, eucalyptol), saccharin sodium.
