1. WHAT IS THIS MEDICINE AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

The herbal tea Hawthorn leaves with flowers is a herbal heart remedy. This herbal tea is used for declining heart performance and for pressure and tightness in the chest area. Note: If the symptoms of the disease persist unchanged for more than 4 weeks, it is advisable to consult a doctor; in case of shortness of breath, dizziness, radiating pain in the neck, arms or upper abdomen or in case of accumulation of water in the legs, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE?

This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to hawthorn.

Special care should be taken when using this medicine if the symptoms described in section 1 worsen. In this case, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Tea infusions should always be prepared with boiling water. Preparing tea with warm water is not sufficient.

When using this medicine with other medicines

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines. No interactions are known.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using any medicine.

Driving and using machines

There is no experience regarding impairment of driving ability and the ability to operate machines.

3. HOW IS THIS MEDICINE USED?

Always take Hawthorn leaves with flowers exactly as described in this package leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage and type of application

Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 3 to 4 times a day: 1 scant teaspoonful (approx. 1.5 g) of hawthorn leaves with flowers is poured over with boiling water (approx. 150 ml) and poured through a tea strainer after about 10 to 15 minutes.

Duration of use

The duration of use is not limited in principle. However, please note the information in sections 1 and 2. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Hawthorn leaves with flowers is too strong or too weak.

If you have used a larger amount of the medicine than you should and experience symptoms due to the higher dose, please notify your doctor. He/she can decide on any necessary measures.

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?

Like all medicines, the herbal tea Hawthorn leaves with flowers can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.

General information: Keep medicines out of the reach of children. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after "Usable until". The expiry date refers to the last day of the month. Storage conditions: Store in the original packaging and protect from light and moisture.
