Visco-Vision Gel is a viscous, hypotonic wetting solution with 0.2% Carbomer 980. Visco-Vision Gel has excellent mucoadhesive properties, i.e. Visco-Vision Gel moistens the eye for a long time by wetting the cornea and conjunctiva surface evenly.Areas of application
Wetting agent for relief of dry eyes, foreign body sensation and visual stress in environmentally induced dry eyes. Visco-Vision Gel can provide long-lasting relief from discomfort caused by, for example:- mechanical stress, e.g. after diagnostic interventions on the eye,
- environmental stress, e.g. due to air-conditioned rooms, wind, cold, dry or polluted air, for example due to cigarette smoke,
- fatigue and visual stress due to intensive vision, e.g. on computer screens, microscopes or long car journeys.
- Visco–Vision Gel must not be used in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the ingredients.
- For external use only.
Side effects
The following side effects have been observed occasionally:- Temporary mild burning.
- Stickiness of the eyelids.
- Blurred vision after instillation of the gel.
Dosage
Instill one drop of the gel into the affected eye(s) 3-4 times a day or as needed. The frequency of application depends on the symptoms and the relief achieved.How to use - use Visco-Vision Gel as follows:
- Wash your hands thoroughly before using Visco–Vision Gel.
- Remove the safety ring before opening for the first time.

- Tilt your head back and pull the lower eyelid down so that a small pocket is formed.
- Hold the tube vertically, with the opening facing downwards, and gently squeeze the tube until a small drop forms at the tip of the tube.

- Blink two or three times to spread the gel evenly over the eye and, if necessary, wipe away any excess gel around the eyelids.

- Contact lenses should not be worn when using the gel. Wait at least 30 minutes after application before reinserting contact lenses.
- If other medicines are to be used locally on the eye at the same time (e.g. for glaucoma therapy), an interval of at least 5 minutes should be observed between the two applications. Visco–Vision Gel should always be used last.
- Please do not touch the eye or any other surface with the tip of the tube to avoid injury to the eye and/or bacterial contamination of the gel.
- Close the tube again with the cap after use.
- If eye discomfort persists during use of Visco–Vision Gel or recurs after discontinuation of the gel, please consult your doctor.
- Store at 2°C – 25°C.
- Keep out of reach of children.
Shelf life
The expiry date is printed on the tube or the folding box. Visco-Vision Gel must not be used after the expiry date. Do not use the product for more than four weeks after first opening the tube.Manufacturer
