Zinkpaste BW is a wound healing agent/skin protection agent. This paste is used to cover or protect healthy skin and to bind secretions in weeping acute and subacute dermatoses (skin diseases).
2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE?
2.1 This medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to zinc oxide or any other ingredient of Zinkpaste BW.
2.2 Special care must be taken when using this medicine if the symptoms described in section 1 worsen. In this case, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
2.3 When using this medicine with other medicines
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines. Before using other medicines for external use (externals), Zinkpaste BW must be removed completely, as otherwise the effect of other medicines that are also to be applied externally may be reduced. Note: To remove old paste residues from the skin, they are dissolved with a fatty oil (e.g. peanut or olive oil) and carefully wiped off with gauze.2.4 Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Zinkpaste BW can be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding if used as directed and the dosage instructions are followed. 3.1 Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, Zinkpaste BW is applied to the affected skin areas once or several times a day. The zinc oxide contained in Zinkpaste BW can adhere to laundry and is then difficult to remove. Therefore, cover the skin area treated with the paste with a gauze compress, a plaster or a bandage.3.2 Duration of use
The duration of use is in principle not limited. However, please note the information under 2.1 and 2.2. Do not store above 25°C. Store in the original container tightly closed.5.3 Note on shelf life after opening
