The mountain farmer milk and organic alpine milk specialties are more than just healthy natural products: They are the commitment of the Berchtesgadener Land dairy to home and origin. They are also the commitment to exceptional quality, full-bodied taste, and traditional values that are preserved.

This includes the gentle processing of the milk at the only production site in Piding, the protection of the natural habitat in and around the Alps, and the preservation of the homeland as a cultural asset.

Origin you can taste

Dew-fresh grasses and herbs from one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. This is what makes the fresh mountain and organic alpine milk from the Berchtesgadener Land dairy so unique. Collected from farms in the surrounding mountain and alpine region and processed in the dairy in Piding to the highest standards.

Community as the Secret to Success

Organized as a cooperative, the dairy is entirely owned by its approximately 1800 farmers today. The love for traditionally produced, high-quality milk from farmers in the Alpine region between Watzmann and Zugspitze and the cooperative organization significantly shape the Berchtesgadener Land dairy.

Nature is our favorite ingredient

All farmers of the Berchtesgadener Land dairy farm feed guaranteed GMO-free and rely on a natural, sustainable management without the use of total herbicides like glyphosate, to preserve the diversity of grasses and herbs. In addition, the organic farmers of the Berchtesgadener Land dairy farm follow the strict guidelines of Naturland or Demeter and are regularly inspected.
