The whole family is working here

For six generations, the Reinheimer family and their team have been growing seasonal vegetables. And exclusively in the open field – just as nature intended. The result: an incredibly aromatic taste experience. No wonder the vegetable farm is a true institution at the Mainz weekly market: the family has been represented here with a stand for over 100 years. Can't make it to the market? No problem: Knuspr now delivers the Reinheimers' crisp vegetables directly to your doorstep.

Seasonal, regional – totally brilliant.

Leafy, cabbage, root and tuber vegetables, fruit vegetables, salads, and herbs: The variety offered by the Reinheimer vegetable farm is almost inexhaustible. The team sows, plants, tends, cares for, and harvests over 80 different crops on their own fields. However, only when they are in season. Because nothing else goes into the ground for the Reinheimers. Harvesting is done daily (often still gently by hand, by the way), delivered in the region. This not only ensures freshness directly from the field but also short, climate-friendly routes.

The color of love? Tomato red.

The Reinheimers love what they do. And they are happy to get their hands dirty for your vegetable enjoyment. For example, when they harvest their first-class asparagus, which is naturally grown without any foil. However, the pride of the family is their outdoor tomatoes: From the "normal" tomato to beef, egg cocktail, and plenty of specialty varieties, there is a wide selection at the vegetable farm. And thus also at Knuspr. Only one variety is not available at the Reimers: the unfaithful tomato – but everyone can really do without that.
