What is Hylo Fresh?
Hylo Fresh is a sterile, preservative-free solution for use on the eye.

Composition

1 ml Hylo Fresh contains 0.3 mg sodium hyaluronate, Euphrasia mother tincture, boric acid, borax and water for injections.

What is Hylo Fresh used for?
For the relief of irritated eyes.

When should Hylo Fresh be used?
Hylo Fresh is used to relieve irritated eyes. Irritated and dry eyes can be caused by environmental stresses such as intensive screen work, dry indoor air, draughts, increased exposure to sunlight, exposure to dust or pollen or contact lens wear. For centuries, preparations made from eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis) have been traditionally used for conjunctival irritation with reddened and burning eyes, increased tear production, swelling and redness of the eyelids or the eyelid margins. Hylo Fresh also contains sodium hyaluronate. Sodium hyaluronate increases the viscosity of the moisturising solution and thus makes it thicker than water. This allows it to remain on the surface of the eye for longer. The application of the eye drops soothes irritated eyes and eyelids and provides tear-like moisture. They treat all symptoms caused by dryness of the eye surface, e.g. because the body does not produce enough natural tears. Hylo Fresh also helps to moisten the eyes when wearing contact lenses. Due to the absence of preservatives, Hylo Fresh is generally very well tolerated. Hylo Fresh is also phosphate-free, so that possible complications due to the formation of deposits in the cornea are avoided.

How is Hylo Fresh used?
Only use Hylo Fresh if the seal on the folding box was intact before first use. Remove the cap before each use. To do this, hold the cap just above the bottle and pull the bottle away from the cap with a twisting motion with your other hand. Please hold the bottle with the dropper tip pointing vertically downwards before using Hylo Fresh for the first time and press the bottom of the bottle as often as necessary until the first drop comes out of the tip of the bottle. The bottle is then ready for use for subsequent applications. Hold the bottle with the dropper tip pointing downwards by placing your thumb on the shoulder of the bottle and your other fingers on the bottom of the bottle. Support your hand with the Comod bottle on your free hand. Tilt your head back slightly, pull your lower eyelid away from your eye with your free hand and press quickly and firmly in the middle of the bottom of the bottle. This activates the mechanism for removing a drop. Due to the special valve technology of the Comod system, the size and speed of the drop are always the same, even if the bottom of the bottle is pressed very hard. Slowly close your eyes so that the liquid can spread evenly over the surface of the eye. After use, immediately close the dropper tip carefully with the cap. Please make sure that the dropper tip is dry. Avoid contact between the dropper tip and the eye or facial skin when dropping. 10 ml of solution can be removed from the bottle; this corresponds to approximately 300 drops. For production reasons, a small amount of liquid always remains in the bottle. The duration of use of Hylo Fresh is not limited. The contents of one bottle of Hylo Fresh should always be used by the same person.

What other instructions for use should be observed?
In the event of additional medicinal treatment with eye drops, an application interval of at least 30 minutes should be observed. Hylo Fresh should then always be administered last. Eye ointments should always be applied to the conjunctival sac after Hylo Fresh. Due to their preservative-free nature, Hylo Fresh eye drops are particularly well tolerated even with long-term use. In very rare individual cases, hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. burning, tearing) have been reported, which subside immediately after discontinuation of Hylo Fresh. We recommend waiting about 30 minutes after inserting contact lenses before using the eye drops to avoid possible intolerance reactions due to interactions between contact lens care products and Hylo Fresh. Based on the available findings, Hylo Fresh can also be used by children, as well as by pregnant and breastfeeding women.

How often and for how long should Hylo Fresh be used?
Hylo Fresh should be dosed individually according to your condition. In general, you should drop 1 drop of Hylo Fresh into the conjunctival sac of each eye 3 times a day. In case of more severe discomfort, Hylo Fresh can be dropped more often during the day. If you use Hylo Fresh more frequently (e.g. more than 10 times a day), have your eyes examined by your ophthalmologist. Hylo Fresh is suitable for long-term use, however, as with all diseases, you should consult an ophthalmologist if symptoms persist.

When should Hylo Fresh not be used?
Hylo Fresh should not be used if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Do not use after the expiry date. Keep out of reach of children.
