This special asparagus is for true asparagus lovers. The mini asparagus is a delicate delicacy consisting of young, thin asparagus spears. This asparagus does not need to be peeled and is suitable for many different preparation methods such as boiling, baking, grilling, in salads, stir-frying, etc.

The mini asparagus is ideal for preparing light meals. Due to its delicate size, it only requires a short cooking time to preserve its taste and texture. The mini asparagus perfectly complements any meal and adds a touch of elegance.

To enjoy the full aroma of this culinary delight, we recommend storing this delicacy in the refrigerator for no longer than 2 days. You will experience the highest pleasure if you prepare the delicacy immediately after harvesting. Cut the thin spears, approx. 8-14mm thin, from the head to a length of approx. 10 cm. Peeling is only necessary for slightly thicker spears. You do not need a special asparagus pot; a normal saucepan is sufficient. For better flavor development, we recommend seasoning the cooking water with a little salt, sugar, and butter. The short spears are cooked standing upright in boiling water with a water level of 3cm. The tips must not be covered with water, as they would otherwise become too soft. The cooking time is approx. 12 minutes. It is best to do the fork test. At a height of 1cm, measured from the bottom end, pierce a spear with a fork. If the fork penetrates easily, the correct cooking time has been reached.

Spargelgut Diedersdorf

Sustainability, field-fresh regional premium products, and short transport routes are the hallmark of the Hoffmann family's Spargelgut. The Spargelgut Diedersdorf is a family business, managed across generations with heart and passion by Jürgen Hoffmann and his son Marc. Since 1996, the estate has been located in Diedersdorf and specializes in the cultivation and sale of asparagus, strawberries, potatoes, and Christmas trees. Located in the charming rural surroundings of Fläming, between the municipalities of Großbeeren and Blankenfelde-Mahlow, Spargelgut Diedersdorf creates an oasis of well-being for the whole family and invites visitors to taste its own regional premium asparagus in the on-site restaurant and farm shop.

Directly from the farm, one can see the family's extensive fields and watch with excitement as the fruits and vegetables grow and are harvested. Even their own bumblebees are used for pollinating the strawberries.
