The apricot originally comes from China, but nowadays it is cultivated everywhere where the climate is very warm. The orange-colored fruit depends on the degree of ripeness. When fully ripe, it has a pleasantly sweet aroma that is slightly reminiscent of almonds. If this degree of ripeness is exceeded, it becomes very floury and tastes rather bland. Both raw and processed in various desserts or salads, the apricot spreads its popular aroma.
