The Kaiserschmarren – lovingly baked golden-yellow by hand – is one of the most famous desserts in Austrian cuisine and is prepared from the best basic ingredients such as eggs, milk, sugar, and wheat flour.

A master chef bakes it in a large pan and then breaks it apart by hand, so that it tastes airy and fluffy. The side dish, the plum compote (Zwetschkenröster), is slowly stewed in its own juice. Noble spices such as vanilla, cinnamon, lemon, and ground cloves refine this dessert and ensure a great taste.
