Description
BARSOL Pisco is made from Quebranta grapes. Quebranta grapes are a variety of the "Uva Negra" originally from Spain and belong to the class of so-called non-aromatic grapes.
The Quebranta grape is the most commonly used grape in Pisco production - between 80 and 85% of the grapes used are Quebranta grapes. The Quebranta grape is therefore responsible for the typical Pisco flavour. BARSOL Quebranta has a light bouquet on the nose with aromas of grape, citrus fruits, rice wine and yeast. It feels pleasant in the mouth and is extremely refreshing with its subtle acidity. At the 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, BARSOL received the top rating of "Top Pisco" and a double gold medal for its excellent quality and exquisite flavour.
BARSOL Quebranta is the ideal choice for the Peruvian cocktail Pisco Sour. It offers an optimal balance between fruitiness and intensity, and the Quebranta grape gives it the authentic Pisco Sour flavour for which the cocktail has gained its excellent reputation.
