Birkscher Biohof is a family-run farm located in eastern Brandenburg. The farm has been passed down through generations. The poultry farm was founded in 1995 as "Birkscher Biohof" and was handed over to the next generation in 2021, who founded "BHD - Biohof Diedersdorf GmbH".

The current focus of the farm is on keeping organic laying hens. The Haltung form is characterized not only by the EU organic guidelines but also by the Biokreis and KAT certifications.

The chickens live on the farm in modern barns according to the organic guidelines of 2022. Each animal has sufficient space in its barn. To make the animals' lives even more pleasant, they are provided with natural Beschäftigungsmaterialien as well as dust baths, which they can use around the clock. The animals also have plenty of freedom of movement in their respective winter gardens and runs. When designing the run, we are constantly striving to make it as optimal as possible for the animals. The maintenance of the area is an ongoing task that benefits not only the hens but also other animal inhabitants.
