Preparation Onion Chutney

Peel the onions, halve them, and cut them into thin slices.

Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the onions until golden brown. Then add sugar to lightly caramelize it.

Now add the remaining spices and let everything simmer over low heat until half of the liquid has evaporated. Finally, stir in a teaspoon of honey and season with salt.
Chef's tip
You can serve the onion chutney hot or cold. The chutney can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. As a side dish, we recommend grilled vegetables, asparagus, or salad.
