Every month, we introduce you to a winemaker who truly inspires us. This month: The Weinreich winery from Bechtheim in Rheinhessen.
"Grapes. Soil. Weather. Me." This is how Marc Weinreich describes his philosophy. No frills, no standards. Just passion, gut feeling, and deep respect for what nature gives him. On around 20 hectares of vineyards, characterized by loess, limestone, and clay marl, wines are created that are honest. Wines that taste like Rheinhessen smells: fresh, mineral, lively.
His organic wines carry what good wine should always carry: character.
From the Vineyard into the Glass
Marc Weinreich is not a winemaker who makes wine just because that is how it is done. He makes wine because he feels it. He knows the vines around Bechtheim like his own handwriting. Every vineyard, every soil, every grape variety tells him a different story.
