Man vs Machine is a specialty coffee roastery founded in Munich in 2014. It was important to them to be 100% independent from day one - no investors, just a few people with a passion for the black gold. Only the highest quality Arabica coffees are roasted, nothing else goes into the filter at Man vs Machine.

They are doing well: The coffee is also served in several Michelin-starred restaurants such as Tantris or Mural and at other quality-conscious places like offices, restaurants, and cafes. However, the Mecca for coffee lovers is likely their own coffee shop in the Glockenbachviertel, as the small but fine café reminds one of the hip, relaxed flair of coffee shops in New York or Stockholm.
Coffee - an Art in Itself
Coffee is not just a caffeinated hot beverage, but also an art in itself. The roasters demonstrate their excellent craftsmanship with both roasted espresso blends and high-quality filter coffees. Each individual variety is characterized by intense, balanced aromas, sweet honey notes meet a full body, grape aromas approach with a hint of caramel, and chocolate unites with nougat.
