Hitschler International GmbH & Co. KG is a German confectionery manufacturer based in Hürth near Cologne. Ferdinand Hitschler, the father of Karl Walter Hitschler, began trading tobacco and cachous in Cologne-Klettenberg at the end of the 1920s. In the mid-1930s, Ferdinand Hitschler founded the company Hitschler’s Cachou, renamed Ferdinand Hitschler & Son in 1946. After Ferdinand Hitschler's death, Walter Hitschler renamed the company Hitschler International in 1953. In the 1950s, chewing gum for Hitschler was produced in the 1st German Chewing Gum Factory, which was later taken over and expanded by Hitschler International. Since November 2017, the company has been led by the founder's great-grandson, Philip Hitschler-Becker. In 2020, the headquarters were relocated from Cologne to the city border in Hürth-Kalscheuren; in 2021, the brand was renamed hitschies. Hitschler International GmbH & Co. KG had a turnover of 37. 5 million euros and around 150 employees in 2017. A production site is located in Michelstadt in the Odenwald in Hesse. The range mainly consists of chewy candies, chewy candy dragees, fruit gummies, chewing gum, wafers with sherbet filling, and foam sugar products. Some products do not contain gelatin. From 2023, the company plans to produce completely gelatin-free. Our two Feelgood Managers Lotta and Emma consume about 156 cans of dog food per year. We drink about 450 liters of coffee per month – that corresponds to about 2,250 cups of coffee.
