Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets are a mineral supplement.
Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets are used
- for the treatment of magnesium deficiency states requiring therapy that do not require injection/infusion;
- for proven magnesium deficiency, if it is the cause of muscle activity disorders (neuromuscular disorders, calf cramps).

2. What should you consider before taking Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets?
Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets must not be taken,
- if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to magnesium bis(hydrogen aspartate) or any of the other ingredients of Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets.
- if you suffer from severe renal impairment with impaired excretion or dehydration of the body or are prone to infection stones (calcium-magnesium-ammonium phosphate stones).

Special care should be taken when taking Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets,
if your kidney function is impaired; in this case, you should only take Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets under medical supervision.

When taking Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets with other medicines

Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using or have recently taken/used other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines. The effect of the following active substances or groups of preparations can be influenced by simultaneous treatment with Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets. Certain antibiotics (tetracyclines), iron preparations and sodium fluoride preparations should be taken 3-4 hours apart from Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets to avoid mutual impairment of absorption into the blood.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets can be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is

Adults and adolescents: 1 effervescent tablet 1-3 times daily (equivalent to 121.5 - 364.5 mg magnesium)
Children from 6 years 1 effervescent tablet 1-2 times daily (equivalent to 121.5 - 243 mg magnesium)


Type of application
Please dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water and drink the contents of the glass completely. Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets should be taken before meals, as this improves absorption from the gastrointestinal tract into the bloodstream.

Duration of use
There is no time limit for the duration of use. In the case of chronic magnesium deficiency, the intake should continue for 4 weeks. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets is too strong or too weak.

The active ingredient is: magnesium bis(hydrogen aspartate)

1 effervescent tablet contains

Magnesium bis(hydrogen aspartate) dihydrate 1623 mg. Magnesium content: 5 mmol = 121.5 mg.

The other ingredients are

Citric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sorbitol (Ph. Eur.), sodium carbonate, maltodextrin, saccharin sodium, sodium cyclamate, sodium citrate, orange flavor.

Note for diabetics: 1 effervescent tablet contains usable carbohydrates (0.02 BE).
Magnesium Verla effervescent tablets do not contain gluten or lactose.
