Reduces calorie intake from dietary fats

Composition:

• Active ingredient: Specification L112 of ß–1,4–Polymer from D–Glucosamine and N–Acetyl–D–Glucosamine, from crustacean shells.
• Excipients: Cellulose (vegetable), vitamin C, tartaric acid, tableting excipients.
• Additional information: Contains no preservatives or dyes. Gelatin–, lactose–, gluten–, milk protein– and cholesterol–free, also recommended for diabetics (no BE–credit). No flavor enhancers. Formoline L112 Extra is a product of natural origin. Color and taste variations are therefore possible and have no influence on the effectiveness.

Dosage recommendation

Formoline L112 Extra is recommended for people over 75 kg.
o For weight loss: Take 2 tablets of Formoline L112 Extra twice a day with the two meals with the highest fat content, optimally towards the end of the meal.
o For weight control: Take 1 tablet of Formoline L112 Extra twice a day with the two meals with the highest fat content, optimally towards the end of the meal.

Take Formoline L112 Extra whole with as little calorie–containing liquid as possible (at least 250 ml) to achieve an optimal effect and to ensure the best possible transport of the tablets into the stomach. Since Formoline L112 Extra is a high–fiber preparation, a sufficient fluid intake of at least 2 liters per day is recommended. In order to stabilize the weight in the long term after losing weight, Formoline L112 Extra can be used in a dosage of 1 tablet each with the two main meals. To support weight loss and weight control with Formoline L112 Extra, a balanced, low–fat and low–calorie diet (60 - 80 g fat per day) and physical activity are recommended. Before making a long–term change in diet, it is advisable to seek medical advice. To ensure the coverage of the requirements for the fat–soluble vitamins A, D, E and K, as well as the essential fatty acids, we recommend taking Formoline L112 Extra with only 2 out of 3 main meals. In addition, at least one meal per day should be consumed with high–quality oils and fats, which supply the body with the fat–soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids. A multivitamin preparation can also supplement the need for vitamins.

Mode of action

Formoline L112 Extra - Reduces calorie intake from dietary fats. The main ingredient in Formoline L112 Extra is the fiber polyglucosamine (L112). It is of natural origin and, due to its very high fat–binding capacity, can bind large amounts of dietary fats in the digestive tract. The absorption of dietary fats from the intestine is thus reduced. The main ingredient of Formoline L112 Extra is indigestible and is excreted naturally with the fats bound to it. In addition, the indigestible and swollen fibers of formoline L112 EXTRA have a slightly satiating effect. Formoline L112 Extra mainly affects overweight caused by a high–fat diet such as fatty meat, sausage, butter, cheese, chips, nuts, cakes or ice cream. Other food components such as sugar, carbohydrates, protein or alcohol are not bound by Formoline L112 Extra; these calories should be reduced, as otherwise they are fully available to the body. Formoline L112 Extra is not recommended for meals rich in vitamins (salad/vegetables) with high–quality oils or omega–3 fatty acids (salmon, etc.), as the fat–soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids can be partially bound.

Contraindications

Take Formoline L112 Extra only after consulting a doctor in the case of:

• long–term medication
• serious gastrointestinal diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, diverticulitis, short bowel syndrome, stomach ulcer, pronounced irritable bowel, drug–treated reflux, etc.) and after operations in the gastrointestinal tract
• chronic digestive problems (constipation, sluggish bowels, etc.)
• children and adolescents who are in physical growth
• the elderly (over 80 years)
• long–term use of medications that reduce bowel activity

Formoline L112 Extra should not be taken by the following persons:

• Infants and toddlers up to the age of 3 years
• People who are underweight (BMI < 18.5)
• People with a known allergy to crustacean products or any of the ingredients

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy or breastfeeding, treatment of overweight should not be carried out or only under medical supervision. For embryonic development and for the optimal supply of the infant with breast milk, the best possible nutrient supply is necessary.

Interactions and side effects

Due to the high fat–binding capacity of Formoline L112 Extra, not only dietary fats but also (fat–soluble) drug active ingredients (such as hormone preparations, contraceptive pills, antiepileptics, blood thinners) or fat–soluble vitamins (vitamin A, D, E, K) can be bound. It is recommended to keep a time interval of at least four hours between taking Formoline L112 Extra. The availability of fat–soluble (lipophilic) active ingredients may be reduced by Formoline L112 Extra. Taking Formoline L112 Extra may temporarily change the consistency of the stool. In very rare cases, digestive problems (constipation, flatulence, bloating) have been observed with insufficient fluid intake. A short–term weight gain is possible in case of constipation. Allergic reactions to one of the ingredients or in case of an existing allergy to house dust mites are possible in very rare cases (symptoms can be in individual cases: diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, rash, swelling, itching, sweating, tingling, chills, dizziness, headache). Overall, however, Formoline L112 Extra can be described as very well tolerated. If any of the described interactions or side effects occur, it is recommended to discontinue Formoline L112 Extra and, if necessary, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Formoline L112 Extra is a medical device certified throughout the EU by an officially authorized body and registered under registration number »DE/CA64/00038125«. The quality and performance of the active ingredient are strictly tested before production. It is recommended to store the Formoline L112 Extra tablets in the blister until they are taken. Store Formoline L112 Extra at room temperature. Store in a cool and dry place at elevated room temperature, for example in a refrigerator with automatic defrosting. Made in Germany.
