About the producer:

The McIlhenny Company, the manufacturer of the Tabasco® Brand Original Red Sauce, was founded in 1868 by Edmund McIlhenny and is based on Avery Island, Louisiana. The family business is still run by descendants of the founder today. Known for its dedication to quality and tradition, the peppers for the famous sauce are still harvested by hand and aged in oak barrels for up to three years to develop their characteristic flavor.
