In 1994, the Franconian brewery Loscher bought the beverage company of the Lattaier family, which had been producing a drink with mate tea, "Sekt-Bronte", since 1898. As a sparkling, non-alcoholic beverage with an energizing effect, it has always enjoyed great popularity.
Since the Loscher brewery bought the promising license from the former owner Hans Sauernheimer, who closed down the business due to his age, the soft drink has been on the market as Club-Mate – throughout Germany and in over 60 other countries worldwide!
