Il pomodoro piu buono Marzanella Tomatoes - Tomatoes in a pink vintage look: Pomodoro literally means "golden apple", the perfect name for our mildly aromatic, yellow tomatoes. Sun-ripened and harvested in season in southern Italy, the fruits develop a pleasantly sweet taste and are just as versatile in the kitchen as red tomatoes. Particularly rich in beta-carotene. Ideal for delicate pasta sauces or light fish and meat dishes. Whole, peeled and in their own juice.
These cans contain real San Marzano tomatoes from Campania. Our producer Il pomodoro più buono has the tomatoes harvested by hand when ripe and then preserves them in a water bath at exactly 100 degrees. There is no better way to capture the tomatoey taste for perfect sughi. The cherry tomatoes from Sicily receive the same care and have all the flavour of ripe, aromatic tomatoes grown in volcanic soil.
