His father owned a small distillery and fascinated him for these products. Joseph Helfrich celebrated his first really big success in 1984 with his J.P. Chenet, a wine that was bottled in crooked-necked spirit bottles. A real marketing coup! Today, Le Grand Chais du France (GCF) is one of the largest wine companies in France, headquartered in Petersbach in Alsace.
