Everything Lost Shiraz 2019

Allesverloren Shiraz is a red wine from South Africa and one of the most famous wines of the winery. The vines for this wine grow at 60 to 300m above sea level. The fermentation takes place on the mash to extract the power of the grapes to a maximum. A temperature of 25°C is maintained, so that the fermentation can take place slowly, in a controlled manner and in a way that preserves the aromas. After the fermentation is completed, the wine is aged in wooden barrels. The Allesverloren winery uses a combination of new and mainly used barrels made of French oak, as well as a small proportion of barrels made of American oak. In the glass, the Allesverloren Shiraz shows a deep red colour. The nose reveals an abundance of aromas. Hints of plums provide the expected fruitiness, while a hint of pepper and tobacco also give the wine a complex spiciness. On the palate, this Shiraz presents itself as a full and powerful representative of South African viticulture. The tannins are powerful and harmoniously integrated. The fruitiness of the nose also continues on the palate. Allesverloren Shiraz is a powerful South African that can be served with both poultry and dark meat due to its fine structure.
