Ingredients

  • 400 g broccoli
  • 60 g noble cheese (e.g., Gorgonzola)
  • 50 g Parmesan block
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 60 ml milk (1.5% fat)

  • 1⁄4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper

Preparation

    Bring salted water to a boil in a small pot over high heat. Meanwhile, wash the broccoli and divide it into small florets.

    Once the water boils, add the broccoli florets and cook for 7–8 minutes over high heat.

    Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220–225 °C and prepare a small gratin dish. In a large bowl, mix the finely grated noble cheese, Parmesan, egg yolk, 60 ml milk, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

Baking & Serving

    Once the broccoli is cooked, drain the water and transfer the broccoli to the gratin dish. Spread the prepared cheese mixture evenly over the broccoli.

    Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 12–13 minutes at 220–225 °C until the cheese layer is golden brown.

    Remove from the oven, divide into two portions, and serve immediately.
