The sprouting blossoms of the sweet chestnut tree ignite a summery firework display in white and displace the lush green of the densely growing lancets. Attracted by such magic, the bees collect the noble nectar for this reddish-brown, slightly bitter honey speciality. Connoisseurs prefer chestnut honey with strong cheese and fine cuisine. Tart, strong and spicy in flavour.
