Sidroga Magen-Heiltee is a herbal gastrointestinal remedy. Sidroga Magen-Heiltee is used for inflammatory diseases in the gastrointestinal tract.
2. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE TAKING SIDROGA MAGEN-HEILTEE?
Sidroga Magen-Heiltee must not be taken:
- if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to liquorice root,
- if you have a liver disease caused by bile congestion, liver cirrhosis, a reduction in potassium levels in the blood or severe renal impairment,
- if you have high blood pressure,
- if you are pregnant.
Special care must be taken when taking Sidroga Magen-Heiltee when taken with other medicines
Potassium losses caused by other medicines, e.g. thiazide and loop diuretics, can be increased. In the event of potassium losses, sensitivity to digitalis glycosides increases. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking/using or have recently taken/used any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.Children
There are no adequate studies on the use of Sidroga Magen-Heiltee in children under 12 years of age. Therefore, the use of Sidroga Magen-Heiltee in children under 12 years of age is not recommended.Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Sidroga Magen-Heiltee must not be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking/using any medicines.Driving and using machines
No special precautions are required.3. HOW TO TAKE SIDROGA MAGEN-HEILTEE?
Always take Sidroga Magen-Heiltee exactly as described in this leaflet. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, drink a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows 2 to 3 times a day. Preparation: Pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over 2 Sidroga Magen-Heiltee filter bags, leave to infuse for about 10 to 15 minutes and remove the filter bags. Do not take Sidroga Magen-Heiltee for more than 4-6 weeks without medical advice. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Sidroga Magen-Heiltee is too strong or too weak. In the case of prolonged and higher dosage, side effects in the form of mineralocorticoid effects may occur (see under Side effects).

4. WHAT SIDE EFFECTS ARE POSSIBLE?
Like all medicines, Sidroga Magen-Heiltee can have side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects
In the case of prolonged and higher dosage, mineralocorticoid effects in the form of sodium and water retention, potassium loss with high blood pressure, oedema, reduction in potassium levels in the blood and, in rare cases (less than 1 in 1000 but more than 1 in 10000 treated), red urine due to the presence of myoglobin may occur.Reporting of side effects
