Artelac NighttimeGel is an eye lubricant.

What is Artelac NighttimeGel?
Artelac NighttimeGel is an eye gel. 1 g contains 2 mg carbomer, medium-chain triglycerides and as other ingredients water for injections, sorbitol and sodium hydroxide. Cetrimide is used as a preservative.

What is Artelac NighttimeGel used for?
Artelac NighttimeGel is a highly viscous eye lubricant that provides long-lasting moisture and protection to the ocular surface in case of dry eye symptoms. Artelac NighttimeGel initially causes blurred vision after instillation, before the gel is distributed after blinking several times. Therefore, many people prefer to use this product at night.

When should Artelac NighttimeGel be used?
Artelac NighttimeGel has been developed to supplement the tear film, including the important outer lipid layer. It provides comprehensive relief of symptoms and binds moisture to the ocular surface. It moistens and soothes the eyes and at the same time provides long-lasting relief of symptoms by locking in moisture. It is the ideal product for anyone suffering from dry eye symptoms such as tired, stressed, burning and/or watery eyes as well as a foreign body sensation. You can also use this product as a supplement to your previous eye lubricants and thus benefit from additional protection.

How often should Artelac NighttimeGel be used?
Instill one drop of Artelac NighttimeGel into the eye 15 minutes before going to bed (if you prefer to use it at night), or apply 3 to 5 drops or more daily.

How to use Artelac NighttimeGel?

1. Always wash your hands before use. Remove the protective cap from the tip of the tube before each use.
2. Tilt your head back slightly. Gently pull down your lower eyelid with a finger of your free hand. Hold the tube vertically over your eye with the dropper tip pointing downwards. Gently squeeze the tube to instill one drop of gel into the eye.
3. Replace the protective cap on the tube after each use. Then close your eye and move it slowly in all directions. Blink to distribute the drop of gel as evenly as possible over the ocular surface.

When should Artelac NighttimeGel not be used?
Do not use the product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Important information on the use of Artelac NighttimeGel:

• Local hypersensitivity reactions have been reported very rarely. In such cases, treatment should be discontinued.
• This product may temporarily cause blurred vision after instillation and thus impair the ability to drive or operate machinery.
• Do not touch the ocular surface with the dropper tip to avoid possible injury.
• Contact lenses must be removed before use.
• Wait approximately 15 minutes before using another preparation on the eye or reinserting the contact lenses.
• Do not touch the dropper tip with your ocular surface or your fingers to avoid contamination of the solution.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
• Do not use if the packaging is damaged.

How should Artelac NighttimeGel be stored?
Store the product at max. 25°C. The product can be used for 6 weeks after first opening.

Artelac NighttimeGel is available in pack sizes of 10 g and 3 x 10 g tubes.
