What is Artelac Complete MDO?
Artelac Complete MDO is a milky eye drop solution containing 0.24% hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate), carbomer, glycerol, a lipid component, sodium hydroxide and water for injections. The innovative formulation is free of preservatives, buffer-free and therefore very well tolerated. The product can be used for 6 months after first opening.

What is Artelac Complete MDO used for?
Artelac Complete MDO is an eye lubricant that supplements all three layers of the tear film to improve the wetting of the eye surface in dry eyes.

When should Artelac Complete MDO be used?
Artelac Complete MDO contains the natural moisturiser hyaluronic acid (as sodium hyaluronate), which is found in the structures of a healthy human eye and in the natural tear film, as well as two other moisturisers: glycerol and carbomer. In addition, Artelac Complete MDO also contains a lipid component and thus supplements all three layers of the tear film: the lipid layer, the aqueous layer and the mucin layer. Artelac Complete MDO remains on the surface of the eye and provides it with intensive moisture for immediate and long-lasting relief of symptoms. It is the ideal product for anyone suffering from the symptoms of dry eye, such as tired, stressed, burning and/or watery eyes and a foreign body sensation in the eye.

How often and for how long should Artelac Complete MDO be used?
Put one drop of Artelac Complete MDO in the eye as needed. You can use the drops daily and as often as you like. The duration of use is not limited.

How is Artelac Complete MDO used?
Thanks to the patented pump mechanism of Artelac Complete MDO, the eye drop solution is free of preservatives.

General information

Always wash your hands first before use. Do not touch the eye surface or your fingers with the dropper tip to avoid contamination of the solution or injury.

1. Remove the transparent white protective cap from the tip of the bottle with a twisting motion before each use.
2. Attention! Before the first use or if the bottle has not been used for some time: Hold the bottle upside down and press the pump mechanism several times until a drop is dispensed.
3. Place your thumb on the ergonomically shaped thumb rest and wrap your fingers around the lower part. Two fingers should be placed on the lower part of the bottle.
4. Hold the bottle upside down. Tilt your head back slightly. Gently pull down your lower eyelid with a finger of your free hand. Hold the bottle vertically over your eye. Gently squeeze the pump mechanism to instill one drop into the eye. Then close your eye and blink to spread the drop evenly over the surface of the eye.
5. Shake off any remaining drops immediately after use and replace the transparent white protective cap on the dropper tip.

Due to the bottle design, a small amount of solution remains in the bottle. However, the stated filling volume can be completely removed from the bottle.

When should Artelac Complete MDO not be used?
Do not use the product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Important information on the use of Artelac Complete MDO:

• Local hypersensitivity reactions have been reported very rarely. In such cases, treatment should be discontinued. If symptoms or irritation persist, please discontinue use of the product and consult your doctor.
• This product may cause temporary blurred vision after instillation, which may adversely affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
• Do not touch the eye surface with the dropper tip to avoid possible injury to the eye surface or contamination of the solution.
• Do not share the bottle with anyone else after you have opened it.
• Careless use of the product contrary to the instructions for use may cause the product to slip out of your hand and injure your eye.
• Remove contact lenses before use.
• Wait about 15 minutes before using another product on the eye or reinserting your contact lenses.
• Dispose of the product 6 months after first opening.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
• Do not use if the packaging or bottle is damaged.
• Artelac Complete MDO is filled into a bottle with small plastic parts that could be swallowed by small children. There is a risk of suffocation. Therefore, Artelac Complete MDO must be kept out of reach of children.

How should Artelac Complete MDO be stored?
Store the product at +1°C to +25°C. Thanks to the bottle design, Artelac Complete MDO can be used for 6 months after first opening.

Package sizes

Artelac Complete MDO is available in pack sizes of 10 ml eye drops. Artelac Complete is also available in practical, preservative-free single-dose ophtioles (EDO).
